 THE ANTARTIC

 TASK

 IN THIS ASSIGNMENT WE WERE IN A GROUP OF 4 WHERE WE HAD TO DISCUSS AND DO A VIRTUAL DISCUSSION BASED ON OUR GIVEN SETTING AND THAT WAS THE ANTARCTIC. WE CAN RECORD THE VIDEO BASED ON ANY SCENARIO WE LIKE. THE VIDEO HAD TO BE DONE AT A MAX OF 8 MIN. TOGETHER WITH THE EXPLANATION GIVEN BY US WE ALSO HAD TO ADD SOME MEDIA AND INFOGRAPHIC INFORMATION TO ADD ON MORE CLARITY TOWARDS THE EXPLANATION. 

BEFORE CREATING THE VIDEO WE HAD TO DO A DOCUMENT WHICH INCLUDED ALL OF OUR RESEARCH OUTCOME TOGETHER WITH OUR SCRIPT FOR THE VIDEO . THIS WAY WE WOULD ALL BE PREPARED AND NOT GET CONFUSED WHEN WE ARE RECORDING OUR VIDEO.

 1ST WEEK (AT CAMPUS)

 WE STARTED OUR PROJECT BY DECIDING OUR CONCEPTS WHICH I DECIDED TO HAVE A TOUR AROUND ANTARCTIC WHICH COULD LEAD OUR HOLD VIDEO AND EVERYONE AGREED TO IT. SO WE CARRIED ON WITH THAT IDEA AND STARTED CREATING CHARACTERS AND DOING OUR RESEARCH TOWARDS THE SETTING PROVIDED BY OUR TUTOR MISS RENEE.

 2ND WEEK (AT CAMPUS AND ZOOM)

 THEN AFTER DISCUSSING THE TASK, I AND YANJUN DISCUSSED THROUGH ZOOM TO PLAN OUT THE TIMELINE AND HOW WE WOULD LIKE TO ORGANIZE THE TIMINGS SO THAT WE WOULD BE RIGHT ON TRACK. AFTER FINISHING ALL THE RESEARCH, WE HELD IT IN A DOCUMENT AND STARTED  CREATING OUR STORYBOARD BEFORE WE DID THE SCRIPT. 

JAYNE, HUI LING AND I MET AT CAMPUS AND DID THE PLANNING IN SCRATCH FIRST THEN HUI LING DID IT ON AN A3 PAPER. AFTER GETTING A CLEAR STORYLINE WE ASKED EVERYONE TO CHOOSE THE CHARACTER THEY WANTED TO PLAY. OUR VIDEO HAD A LECTURER, A TOUR GUIDE, AN ENVIRONMENTALIST AND 2 STUDENTS.

 2ND WEEK (AT CAMPUS AND ZOOM)

 AFTER THAT YANJUN STARTED DOING THE SCRIPT THEN I HELPED TO ADD IN INFO AND DO SOME CORRECTIONS HERE AND THERE. AFTER THAT ALL OF US STARTED RECORDING OUR OWN VIDEOS BY SCENE. THEY LATER SENT ALL THE VIDEOS TO ME SO THAT I COULD START TO EDIT THE VIDEO. I DID SOME RESEARCH TO GET SOME REAL LIFE CLIPS OF THE ANTARCTIC SINCE WE COULDN'T ACTUALLY VISIT THE PLACE.

 OUTCOME

 IN THE END, I MANAGED TO EDIT THE VIDEO USING THE MOVAVI VIDEO EDITOR AND DID THE THUMBNAIL FOR THE VIDEO. THEN I PASSED IT TO JAYNE TO ADD IN THE SUBTITLES AND LATER SUBMIT THE BEAUTIFUL VIDEO WE HAVE MADE. IT WAS INDEED A LOT OF WORK BUT I MANAGED TO GET IT DONE.

REFLECTION WITH TGC

 I HAVE GAINED SO MUCH OF KNOWLEDGE IN DIGITAL LITERACY SINCE I EDITED THE HOLD DISCUSSION INTO A VIDEO TOGETHER WITH ADDITIONAL MEDIA AND WORDS. THIS REALLY THOUGHT ME SOME GOOD EDITING SKILLS, I ALSO LEARNED HOW TO USE THE  MICROSOFT WORDS EVEN BETTER SINCE I LEARNED SOME ADDITIONAL KEYS AND THING WE COULD DO WHILE I WAS EDITING THE WORDS.

 THIS PROJECT CERTAINLY GAVE ME SOME LIFELONG LEARNING WHICH I COULD CARRY ON TO THE NEXT STAGES IN LIFE SINCE I LEARNED HOW TO LEAD A GROUP AND KEEP THINGS ORGANIZED COS THAT IS THE ONLY WAY WE CAN GT THINGS DONE CORRECTLY. EVEN BEING IN THE NEW NORMAL I COULD ASK EVERYONE'S OPINION AND WE STILL MANAGED TO PULL OFF THIS PROJECT WHICH CERTAINLY HAS THOUGHT ME SOME GOOD LESSONS TO USE IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
